Dr. Keisha Bentley-Edwards joined us to discuss her work related to the Kerner Commission report. 50 years ago today (March 1, 1968) the first mainstream press story broke about this historic report and its conclusions regarding the origins of Black uprisings around the country. Dr. Bentley-Edwards helped us fill in some missing pieces of what was and was not covered in that report and its continuing impact.
