Marlon Berend says:

Compensating the descendants of American slaves is suddenly a hot topic on the campaign trail, with presidential candidates voicing support for slavery reparations. New proposals also seek financial redress for decades of legalized segregation and discrimination against African-Americans in employment, housing, health and education.

But why now? And just how would reparations, focused specifically on slavery, work?

Analyze Perspective says:

Dr Claud Anderson will sit down with any white American & have them looking dumb when it comes to American history

WHAT OTHER PPL HAD TO DO A SONG AND DANCE FOR REPAIR?

Name Again says:

I really really really wish I could hear current Claude Anderson WITHOUT having to hear from Boyce Watkins. Boyce is literally just weaseling himself into the convo via Dr Anderson. I would MUCH MUCH MUCH rather hear a conversation / interview with Yvette Carnell and Dr. Claude Anderson.

Starlin Peña says:

are ados ready and willing to fight struggke and die for reparations? thats the real questions

Albert Aaron says:

Dr Claud Anderson deserves a seat at the table and should have been invited to Washington to speak on reparations as a foremost authority on the subject.

Albert Aaron says:

On the issue of reparations: A meeting of the Black folk minds must take place. Black folk must have a united front when it comes to this issue. Black folk should not just send or allow anyone to represent their collective interest. 1.>Centralized representation must be established that collectively represents the vast majority of Black folk. That representation would be selected and elected by Black folk, of Black folk, and for Black folk. 2.> After representation is established, the process of planning, research and development of the case for reparations must begin; that case would then be presented as the evidence basis for establishing the Perpetual Reparations Fund or PRF, where the U.S. Government and any other attachable entities or persons who benefited from Black folk slavery would be mandated to contribute to this fund. 3.> Once the reparations debt payments are established and deposited into the PRF, Black folk and their representation must go into the process of determining what to do with the fund monies including how; to determine who is eligible for reparations, to disburse the funds, how to invest the funds, what Perpetual Black folk Institutions to build form the ground up like; Schools, Hospitals, mental health hospitals, financial and credit reporting institutions, social service institutions, research and development, means of production and manufacturing among other necessary institutions. 4.> Once Black folk complete the process of determining what to do with the fund monies the real reparations genesis begins. 5.> Black folk biggest hurdle getting from 1.> to 4.>; not an easy task. Black folk need to make this happen.

whitney thompson says:

What The Muslims Want, a complete freedom regardless to Creed, Class or Color. Land or territory of our own, if land is not a part of the equation then it's useless to asked for a check. Reparations is way bigger than a check!

Muad' Dib says:

Dr. Claud Anderson gets my vote as lead spokesperson on the matter of reparations.

Affluent Blacks says:

Reparations can happen, but the word "reparations" unfortunately has a bad stigma around it, for both blacks and non blacks. For some brothas and sistas, they have concluded that reparations are impossible. For almost all non blacks, they view reparations as a Marxist tool to redistribute wealth via direct, in-your-face taxation. So we need to come up with alternative proposals to achieve the ultimate goal, yet working around the stigma tied to "reparations." There is a way, and where there's a will, it will happen.

Mermaid12 says:
