im in high school and the only thing they teach us now about blacks is the fact that they were slaves and muslims spread islam from east africa to the rest of the continent ( or its extent on the continent) and the chinese bought giraffes from them i want an entire class on african history in public schools
Black history teachings in schools is starting to sound like joke compared to the real history that's actually out there. Growing up I was just taught that we just invented peanut butter. Knowing that I and most of the world is missing out on this knowledge saddens me.
10 years ago the media was portraying China as an imperialistic human rights violator. Now they've been doing nothing but glorifying them. Perhaps one day the image of Africans will not be generalized around "tribe-folk"

He briefly mentions Namoratunga. It is an 2300 Year old astronomical observatory in Kenya on the shores of Lake Turkana. There are stones which are aligned to keep track of seven stars. One of which is Sirius (Sigi Tolo, Po Tolo and Eme Ya.)
@amharjew1 Our honorable brother Professor Sertima is no longer with us, but I'm sure he would smile with acceptance if he heard it.
@moonstar7 he looks like martin luther king
Excellent, thanks for honoring the good professor.
