@Cancerian1976 Well, disclaimer, I'm not black, but I think there is a distinct black culture with its own problems and solutions and narratives. The culture started out as only blacks but many people of other races have embraced and become a part of black culture. Yes, this black culture has been attacked and heavily exploited by racists and collaborators. If you're asking 'is black unity useful?' then… I don't know. I'm too ignorant. I suspect so.
I strongly believe that the American system fucks the poor, not particularly the black anymore. Most of us white americans are on a work-buy subject-object alientation treadmill, and it produces some pathetic people but few truly evil ones. A lot of us despise it.
But I think people should do what they feel is right, not what they feel their ethnic identity prescribes or what "God" says.
Don't otherize us, either. Help us change this system. The system is the big problem.
