The bible is full of intermixed ancient manuscripts not of GOD.no one really knows GOD.the bible is mass contradictory and has caused many wars and sufferings. i don't believe the bible or any other book is the word of GOD.who is GOD anyway.? The curse of Canaan was because his daddy, Ham, was a gossiper. Instead of his trying to up-lift Noah after catching him in a weak moment (drunk), he goes out and exposes him as a drunkard and thus an hypocrite. After all, the Almighty had spoken to him. Noah showed weakness, and maybe who wouldn't after seeing such a devastating thing like the destruction of just about all that exist. Think people, how would you feel seeing the destruction of society to this level. After being shamed for his weakness, he (Noah) showed anger and pronounced a curse. As we do today when someone makes us angry, we want to get back at them. His saying Canaan would be suffering the curse is something that is really objectionable and that's why so many OPINIONS exist. Here's a thought, it is not stated how old Canaan was. Could it be possible that he was just like, if not worse, than his dad in spreading gossip? Maybe it was something he did that caused Ham to go and see Noah in there naked. Is it possible that Canaan saw Noah naked first and went and told Ham? If we are going to add things that the Bible does not say; the curse changed the color of a particular race, then why not add something that will cause people to realize the damage that can come from not thinking about the harm your actions might bring to another.
