On Naming Children & Loving The Prophet (Shaykh Idris Watts – Q+A)

At the end of the Heavenly Guide To The Beacon Of Pure Light webinar, Shaykh Idris takes questions on naming children and the role of the Prophet (God bless him and give him peace) in our lives.

Allah ascribed many names to Himself within the Qurʾān so we can understand who He is and we can call upon Him by these names to gain openings in our relationship with Him. Likewise, He gave the Prophet Muhammad (Allah bless him and give him peace) many names and attributes mentioned in the Qurʾān and the Prophetic literature.
Great scholars throughout Islamic history such as Imam Suyūṭī, Qāḍī ʿIyāḍ, Ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyyah dedicated chapters and books to the names of the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace); some of them enumerating them into the thousands.
During this webinar, we learned why Imam Jazūlī chose to author his book, Dalāʾil al-Khayrāt and discover what impact it had on the Muslim world; as well as how to recite the names of the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) in the traditional rendition that has been practiced throughout Morocco for centuries with the Keighley Munshids.
By accessing this book, studying it, learning to recite it regularly and reading over the commentary of the names with your friends and families, you will be able to come together in your homes and communities for the sake of love and desire to live in accordance with the Prophet Muhammad's character and guidance (Allah bless him and grant him peace).
