FUNDOP: in case you know someone whos family has been affected by these fires; even those who may have a solid contact in the area. organize a fund drive in your neighborhood to send the money via western union or direct deposit. just make sure to have monitors for yourself and the ones on the receiving end to keep things transparent. from the looks of it, these houses are shanty and from an extremely poor area where they don't have much to begin with. they typically survive from help from more well off family members and each other. it doesn't have to be much but together we can make a difference. area affected is barangay apolonio samson district of quezon city in the philippines.
