@1polymath and @modogray. Because it's not a Western concept to Africans from Africa. I've had conversations with Africans. African Americans see "Socialism" as Russia or Eastern Europe or China. Africans see it more of Patrice Lamumba.
in retrospect communism is not a western product.
anyone know what this series was called?
@1polymath (sorry for replying to such as old post) agreed Communism and capitalism are indeed Western thought and culture. Remember culture is the instrument of socialization and survival for a people. Real revolution has to be African centered.
The 1st minute in a half is true too the core.
You mean the countries that are being ran by drug cartells? Socialism or better yet Equality is of the spirit or mindset of individuals. Equality isn't based on anything financial. The disparity between the rich and poor is just a reflection of how people that rich feel they owe nothing to people that they legally rob from.
not really , it can till help , look at south america , socialism is helping independant standings ther e, venuzvela , cuba , bolivia , salvador ,
What sense does it make for a Black man to be a Marxist? He is still abandoning one form of Western Philosophy for another one. Communism is still a Western product. If we gon' be African then do it.
Kwame was the honorary "prime minister" of the black panther party. And it only lasted(his membership) a year. He put great emphasis on honorary.
