The problem with these so called black scholars and leaders is that they do not understand the youth and how innovative we are. The systems that Yvette is basing her information off is biased based off false statistics and not real world analysis. This is classic book smart vs street smarts. I believe you should take a moment to visit inner cities and have a discussion with the youth. Why don't we deserve financial freedom? The poverty ridden conditions have left most mentally unstable and headed for criminal downfall. Should they come across your channel and hear that nothing will change their conditions and all hope is lost or will Dr Watkins & Dr Anderson provide them with the motivation and optimism they need to try an alternative route than the one predetermined by their oppressors?

Many scholars are of the opinion that it is up to Black people to fix the race problem, even though white supremacists/racists are the ones who created it – however, logically speaking, it really is up to black people to fix it, because, we are the victims of it. This is how it works in the white people's legal system also. If you have been wronged, you can go and bring a case as plaintiff against the person who caused you tortious harm or any other monetary harm – but it boils down to you making the first move at 'fixing' the problem.

She's too caught up in Boyce to take seriously
Okay, let me deconstruct. Boyce like me does not believe government will ever hand over reparations until we control government and give it to ourselves. That said, both believe we must build independent communities and economies. The break is Dr. Anderson does not believe Blacks currently have enough wealth to do so but reparations would be a boost to liberation. One is about building wealth to then build communities. The other is about suing government for the creation of a Marshall Plan for the descendants of slaves just it did for the victims of foreign wars we fought. The plan would be in the form of reparations.
Yvette is talking like she doesn't understand. Anderson is talking about building independent economies and communities not restricting our ability to enter into mainstream society the way immigrants do.I get the sense its not banks and super markets some Blacks fear losing access to but the lost of potential sex partners among other races is what scares them. Integration is a failure if you think it was meant to help Blacks the way the previous generation hoped it would and yes it was never fully implemented. Thank God. It was a success in the way the government intended it to be. It transferred wealth from Black communities to White ones. I believe Dr. Anderson explained that. I get it. Why does Yvette not get it?
Asking for reparations is down the wrong road. Don't expect it from people who to this day feel they have done nothing wrong. So its sad Dr. Anderson is obsessed with it. He wants reparations to build an independent economy otherwise where does the money come from? Immigrants have their homelands as a source of investment. We should appeal to Black Africa to at least invest in their immigrants here. That would be a start but it seems the plantation mentality is global.
