I pray that we as BLACK WOMEN. can get it together for our children self and MEN!!! our black men need to LEAD MORE and lust less like you said if they were leading teaching protecting more it would be a WHOLE LOT BETTER. and I know these men have deep desires to be with other women, but if they be honest with us and let us know exactly where they're going and coming from it can be a understanding.
Blks were voting before 65. I had a relative who voted for Nixon in the 60 election. Blks put many in office after an amendment gave them the right to vote. Of course there were problems trying to vote nonetheless & some died to ensure the legal right t vote was honored.

Shahrazad is a wise woman! I have loved her commentary for years and even read her book years ago as a younger woman and I agree with 95% of what she says. As a Black woman myself, I can say at 45 she is CORRECT on most Black females personalities and how out of order we are. Black women need to be humbled to except these faults and make changes for the better. When women are in line, the men can't help but fall in line too. We know our disarray was by design but knowing that and NOT taking steps to change is NO EXCUSE. Some of us have become too content with dysfunctional lifestyles.
Black women are so out of order that I cannot even fathom a household of two or three jealous and arguing and disagreeable women trying to be wives to one man. This would take a whole new overhaul and way of cultural thinking to make this work. I am not overly opposed but there is too much disarray for this to work at this time. IJS
She's lost with this generation! She's lost about the state of the black woman! The black woman of today won't listen to nothing! And yes she's right, we HAVE lost our man! Black women are too selfish and unaccountable to fix these problems. Will she stop having babies with known bums? No. will she insist she procreates with a man that's ready to be a father? No. can't tell her nothing without her getting mad then doing it more! Black men need to protect themselves from most these women and find black women who are ready to rebuild the black family.
