Go back to the pain. Powerful! None of us have a process of how to grieve the loss of our African Identity. We have allowed ourselves to think that being a celebrity or the president of the country of oppression is success, but for us there is only one success and that is healing. We have allowed a type of Christianity that does not address PTSS, which means it is ineffective in transforming our communities. Our churches look like they are rooted in capitalism and they are, but they cannot help Black people until they are redesigned to address our pain and emptiness and disillusionment… The Black pastor looks is like Jeff Bezos or Bill Gates, so how does that help a marginalized people-groups when the pastor looks like what a system of oppression has created? The book of Haggai implores a rebuilding of the "Temple" and that the glory of the new temple would surpass the glory of the former. Destroy the plantation mindset and rebuild our true Self without fearing what Africa can contribute to this process.
