Agree with Dr Umar with black empowerment and education, but concerned about his spiritual views; he sounds like he's into that voodoo, satanic stuff and that's troublesome to me. His whole philosophy is based on that which leads to a destructive path for your soul.
Now I have been an avid supporter of DUJ's work for some number of years now. And I HEARD the reason as to why HE (Dr Umar Johnson) says that HE WILL BE ALLOWING WHITE KIDS AND WHITE TEACHER IN TO FDMG Academy. BUT however I am as pissed off as a Coot about that statement right now, because we was lead to BELIEVE that it was a point blank NO ADMITTANCE in relation to white people. And now WE have moved forward and he is going to be letting in and TEACHING Peckerwoods, Crackers and Gringos on.black peoples MONEY.. Now how the hell does that make ANY SENSE when we are trying toRECONDITION our BLACK kids MINDS? And furthermore, how the hell is he going to justify turning away black girls/women with perms and weaves when there will be white girls walking around the schools tossing their flowing straight, long soft locks in our black boys/mens faces. Completely negligent strategy move imo and one that our black family DID NOT DONATE TO SUPPORT!! So in summary, WE are going to be PAYING to help the WHITE folks to get the jump on us AGAIN!! When the hell will we learn man, when the hell will we learn.
Should of started with a after school community for home work and activities so people can see we got a start that'll bring them in cause your actions are speaking take the 700k buy a building show the people the deed and hire retired teachers and college student highschool to Tudor each other as well as playing together basketball card games ect that's the beginning when the power comes then we can pull permits and grab an you won't need poor people money we already struggling when there program that'll take care of this (you trying to make it to the top of the mountain without even climbing you want that helicopter ride up there …..good bless you I will be donating to the cause cause you might see a different light
I love the concept. However, in business, you need a plan. I think all parties involved would be satisfied with a monthly plan along with monthly progress reports. As a business owner with investors, providing constant and concise communication is mandatory to maintaining transparency and confidence….
I think Umar Johnson needs to update his rhetoric. He speaks like he’s in the 1960s. The world has changed since the original Philosophy of Pan-Africanism emerged. He’s correct by highlighting that we have the same oppressors to deal with as African people. However, most immigrant black folks, who come to America today don’t come here to join us. They come here to compete with us, and they often join with our enemies to further undermine us collectively. With that said, we need to get our own house in order first.
As far as reparations, in the US, we are the only group (ADOS) who is entitled to it for slavery. After, we achieve it, we can go to other parts of the diaspora to help them with obtaining reparations from their European oppressors.
Umar Johnson is an idealistic brother, but I don’t think that he fully understands the landscape that we’re dealing with currently.
