What is going on in Venezuela goes way beyond the oil which is of supreme importance but Chàvez didn't just take back the nation"s wealth and return it to the people but he and Gaddafi had a plan to unite Africa and South America, so the union of One South was created and various meetings between the African Union and One South took place but the Latin American Right Wing is highly racist and want no part of any integration with Africa.
So now Chavez and Gaddafi are dead, a lot of Right Wing people returned to power here and have practically destroyed the One South and are desperate to finish off the Socialists in Venezuela, end the idea of Africa-South America integration and deliver the region to their masters in Europe and North America.
So you see it's not just the usual fight for control of resources, this time it is a war to stop the integration of the south which is peoples of colour and mixed race.
