I am a product of Denver Public Schools. I had wonderful teachers who challenged me because they knew I was bored, but I also had a teacher (Ms. Avis) that would downgrade me so I would not make straight A's. My mother had to confront this teacher. Parents have to pay attention to what is happening to their child at the school. Some kids will complain – but some kids will assume it's them (I was one of those kids) and the parents just have to be "on task!"
I whent to school in 1995 when i was 9 years old in 4th grade they put me in special ed because of my seizure they told me my seizure was effecting my way of learing when i whent to middle school i stop having seizure but they never put me in a reguler classroom to get any advanced education like every one else i have been i special ed for 8 or 9 years straight in my life time it did not help me at all it ruinned my life my education and my ability to social well with other people
Anyone who claims they can cure an MR diagnosis after two weekends of 12 hour class days should never be allowed anyone near children. That claim is as dangerous as it is ludicrous.

He’s convincing them that they are unable to do something that he is able to do. All leads back to the school, which he continues to solicit money for to this day. In theory special education is designed to assist children with learning however it’s now used as a scape goat for teachers who don’t want to teach a child who doesn’t learn by traditional methods.

At the 21:28 mark he tells the audience they could've bought one of Denver's abandoned schools… but why didn't HE buy one of Philly's MANY abandoned schools for his FDMG Academy??? Here it is 2 years later, still no school.
At 12:21 he says he would never put his child in special education, that he would pay out his pocket for tutors. Didn't this man say he hasn't paid child support in the last 6 years of his 6.5 year old daughter's life? Didn't he also say he didn't find out her middle name until this year? So clearly this man would not know whether his child had special needs or not… LET ALONE pay out of his pocket for her to have a tutor since he doesn't even pay to feed and clothe her.
