Wass Goodie?!?! I want to talk about the different myths about black businesses.

I think a lot of the reason we don’t shop black is because there is a lot of negative myths about black people doing business. Do you get bad customer service when shopping with them? Yes, but that’s anywhere you go. I think the reason we believe these things about our people is because some subconscious self-hatred.

What do you think? Do black people show self-hate when shopping or Do black businesses conduct their establishment poorly? Let me know below…

Enjoy 🙂

self made man G says:

We got barber shops and mechanic/tow trucking black owned in my family, good biz.

Kai Mobley says:

Speaking of you talking about us spending our money on less valuable stuff for higher prices I saw a video on YouTube of a black man explaining why we do that. Both for name brand stuff and non name brand. I don't remember what it was called but im sure you can find it.

ELOHIM BEATS says:

#Facts we gotta support our own.

Terrance Pride says:

I think one of the reason small black owned business are not supported is because of the inconvenience & the overall exposure & way the business is presented to the public it’s okay to start off at the bottom hand stitching but it’s a better way , they have to build there brand & look professional so people don’t think they are going to get scammed get a website , store location professional business line , most if not all white owned & start up business had business partners that’s just the way business are built successfully so they should try getting & finding another black entrepreneur to build with the more people the easier the financial burden business expenses

Kai Mobley says:

I can vouch for some asian own businesses in terms of following you around the store. Id say half of it is racism but not on black folk in general. Its with anyone that's not Asian. And the other half its them making sure you don't steal anything which again isn't focused on black folk in general. I've experienced both but mainly the 2nd one most of the time. But again im only 1 black man with his own experience, I can't speak for everyone but I can at least shed some light here and there

ELOHIM BEATS says:

Two of my cousins own their own clothing line and I support them.

Alpha Male says:

Sorry but i dont agree after having a fist fight at this black clothing store i refuse to go shop anywhere that has more than 2 niggas working

Juninzone says:

Black people weren't taught about the value of black owned businesses at the collective level and how to use them to boycott a non black owned business. The civil rights movement led black people to believe that whites would include us into their economy instead of maintaining our own, at the collective level we see that isn't the case. The black panther party was for doing for self and told non blacks if they want to help they can but from the outside looking in, they were sabotaged while the civil rights movement wasn't. If the black panther
party wasn't sabotaged they instantly would have over taken the civil rights movement and we would be collectively following their doctrine instead of the civil rights movement.

HundredDolla Will says:

White ice is just COLDER!!! I guess…

DARK POWER says:

SOME black businesses are not that great in terms of services! I have experienced this! However I have experienced great customer service from black owned businesses as well! Another reason is some people think that the white man's ice is colder! But being a start up business is not an excuse for bad customer service, being a start up business your customer service skills should be impeccable and you definitely should know what you are doing!

Joe Jas says:

A lot of banks want let black people get a business loan and when some black people do have business and the black people will go to other stores instead of trying to keep the black business going ….. those other races don't do nothing for the black community and I don't care how much money you spend with the Chinese, Hispanic, White and the other races want do anything they would put that money back into there own business.

TKC tkc says:

That was a great video. Too many Black people will try to find any reason to invalidate a Black owned business, while patronizing non-Black owned businesses that disrespect them as soon as they walk in the door.
