Jared “JK” Kearse former And1 player and Philly Basketball Legend tells “16th and Philly” in an interview his top 5 Philly basketball players from the famed league “16th Street.” See more of his interview in the historic documentary “16th and Philly”
Kobe is from Philly. He played at lower merion. He was literally born at mercy hospital in West Philly. John salmons is from North Philly but played as Plymouth Whitemarsh. We don't say he's not from Philly.
RIP …Lewis "Black Magic " Lloyd
Nah man Kobe philly all day
He gonna say Sad Eye
I here all these Philly young cats talk about the greatest Philly ballers. I know Sad Eye was a bad dude but for those of us who remember going to the Baker League when it was played at Bright Hope Baptist church in the late 60,s early 70's then you have to include Earl Monroe in this conversation. Earl had an NBA career but he also had a Philly street ball career and Earl was the best Philly street baller I ever saw. Wilt may have been the top player but Earl Monroe was the best street baller to come out of Philly including Sad Eye. Kevin Rahman
