“HBO’s new series “Watchmen” opens with scenes of a race massacre in Oklahoma: Black people shot in cold blood. Black people fleeing businesses on fire. Airplanes flying low and dropping bombs. A newspaper lying amid the burning rubble in the street with the headline: “Lynch Negro.”

The horrific scene seems like a work of Hollywood creative fiction in some alternate universe.

But the carnage actually happened nearly a century ago when a white mob in Tulsa descended on Greenwood, a black business district so prosperous it was dubbed “Black Wall Street.”

The Tulsa race massacre began May 31, 1921, when a white mob set fire to hundreds of black-owned businesses and homes. Historians believe as many as 300 people were killed. More than 10,000 black residents were left homeless, and as many as 40 blocks were left smoldering.”

This is the real mindset of Trumpets. Fear that blacks will succeed fuels the Republican Party! Why do you think they want to overturn everything Obama did?

Yet another modern example of tv doing what our schools won't or can't – we shouldn't have to rely on HBO to deliver historical facts, and our schools shouldn't have to beg for resources to do the most important job in the world: educating the coming generations.

Their were many massacres of Black communities all across the United States. That was not an isolated incident.

But Tulsa and Rosewood wasn't the only towns that was burned down and melanin people fled from caucasians. It happen all over North America, people won't talk about it. Unless you really research the area, or personally know the people. The state never compensated the descents, a lady. That was in are 80s or 90s was fighting the court over four decades. To get justice for everyone she knew. Because everyone had died from her era. She sadly passed away some years ago.

Elvis Williams says:

To add insult to injury, ADOS now have African Immigrants coming into America reciting some of the same white supremacist rhetoric that ADOS have been hearing all their lives: "pull yourselves up by the boot strap", "American Blacks just don't want to work hard," and "You American Blacks are just jealous of us". It's egregious that many African Immigrants don't even know the extent and far reaching damages of racism and oppression of African Americans—past and present. Even Obama (African Immigrant) went to one of our most prestigious Black colleges and told ADOS to "work harder and stop complaining". He said that nobody cares if you Blacks went through some hard times.
