"CBS News announced it would examine the myths and facts of Malcolm X in a news special, "Malcolm X: The Real Story," to be broadcast Thursday, Dec. 3 (9:00-10:00 p.m.)
The program features scores of interviews as well as rare footage. Other material will be seen for the first time in more than 30 years.
"Malcolm X: The Real Story," reported by Dan Rather, traces the civil rights leader's life as he evolved from militant into moderate. Mr. Rather talks with the family and friends of Malcolm X.
According to producer Brett Alexander, CBS News has conducted network television's most extensive research on Malcolm X, including the examination of much of 50,000 pages of FBI material. "We have also pulled together the most comprehensive footage available from our own CBS News archives as well as from WCBS-TV," Mr. Alexander says. "And, we have assembled virtually all of the important people who knew Malcolm X."
The program includes interviews with Malcolm's widow, Betty Shabazz, as well as such important black cultural and political figures as Maya Angelou, Quincy Jones, Andrew Young, and Dick Gregory - who each reveal some insight into the provocative personality and dynamic principles of Malcolm X. In addition, a new generation of well-known African-Americans talk about the legacy of Malcolm X and the influence he had on their lives." - original press release

It's a documented fact that the racist criminal J Edgar Hoover who caused many Black lives to be lost during his tenure, sent inflammatory letters to Elijah Muhammad forging the signature of Malcolm X to create further animosity and bloodshed. I agree that his death was initiated by that agency and more than likely a collaboration, not that they needed a collab, the NOI was probably used as a shield. Many foul agreements have been made in the dark but Nothing is hidden from the sight of the Creator who sees all, not Satan Claus, but The Most High God.
Malcolm X must have been transformed by God into a prophet for he became much more than a man and his words and influence should have been listened to not unlike Jesus talking to his disciples . Of course like everything and everyone in America his beauty , genius , and truth were attacked and limited by the White Men who run everything and call the victims of their oppression and racism racists and a threat . If Malcolm and Martin are looking down at the Black Community today they would be saddened at young blacks killing each other , the disunity of the black community and the lack of black progress , and the negative influences and popularity of Rap Music and Hip Hop . The people who can benefit most from listening to and reading Malcolm's speeches are the young black people who are destroying themselves and their community . Just listening to a few words from Malcolm can open your eyes and improve your life .
