It's typical to dismiss personal responsibility and instead blame society. We should encourage personal moral choices even while addressing larger societal changes. These ideas are not in opposition.
Oooo, that statement on morale versus morality was spot on! The moralistic view completely ignores how poverty and inequality results in lack of access to needs and is directly linked to violence. Its a link most ignore…because it would require massive change, and a look at the top- since we know these things are at the top and flow downward.
