A cognate verb describes the state of Job’s skin as it peeled off under the ravages of the boils (Job 30:30)… Metaphorically it refers to mourning (Jeremiah 8:21; Joel 2:6; Nahum 2:10)…”
According to Zondervan Bible Dictionary (p. 1216), “red”- Out of several Hebrew words that may be translated ‘red,’ the most common root is, (a Hebrew verb H131), ADEM, ‘to be red,’ and adjectives Adom (H137), admoni (H145). This root is related to the noun “Adamah (H141), meaning earth, land,” indicating a connection with the color of the soil… The root appears also in the name of the first man, Adam, who was formed ‘from the dust of the [red] ground’ (again, Adamah, Genesis 2:7). The name of EDOM has the same origin… When the reference is to the color of (original) human skin, English prefers the term RUDDY (1 Samuel 16:12 & 17:42; Song of Solomon5:10; Lamentations 4:7)…”
According to the Book of Enoch (LXXXV) Cain was identified as Black, and Seth was identified as ruddy or red. The mark of Cain (Genesis 4:15) is understood as the mark of Black skin, which God put on Cain, not as a curse, but as the warning and protection of God to any son of Adam who would seek to kill Cain for the murder of his brother Abel, as God did not want Cain to be killed. A descendant of Cain by the name of Naamah (the Black Cainitess) married the son of Noah, Ham, and a White Ruddy Sethite. Ham, alone, is the progenitor of the Dark Race (which includes Negroes). Sethites are a White Ruddy people; but now Sethites mixed due to the descendants of Ham. Now Semites are a White Ruddy people, as are Japhethites. There has been a mixed (Mongoloid) race, which happened due to intermarrying between the Ruddy Race and the Black Race causing unique characteristics.
Christ is for all people, “For God so loved the world that He gave His Only Begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16). God Bless all those, no matter if your Black or White, who seek Christ.
