THE NIGGERIZATION OF THE WORLD | DR JOHN HENRIK CLARKE
Dr. John Henrik Clarke, Professor Emeritus of African World History in the Department of Black and Puerto Rican Studies at Hunter College of CUNY (The City University of New York).
Dr. Clarke retired from Hunter College in 1984, after 20 years of service but continuied to teach as an adjuct professor until 1987.
In 1986, Dr. Clarke became the founding president of the African heritage Studies Association, an organization of world renowned scholars whose aim is to rescue and reconstruct the documentation of African history and culture.
For over half a century, Dr. Clarke has dedicated himself to the interpretation and academic preservation of the historical and cultural legacy of African peoples. He is the author and editor of moor than 20 books and has written over 50 articles.
Even though Dr. Clarke was legally blind since the mid-80's, he wrote and read daily with the aid of a computerized reading machine. After acquiring the reading machine in 1990, Dr. Clarke completed 7 books.
The most recent publications are:
New Dimensions of African History,
African People in World History,and
Malcolm X: The Man and His Times.
His most ambitious work to date is Africa at the Crossroads: Notes for An African World Revolution, which is a collection of political essays and commentary.
