THE LAST POETS: Made in Amerikkka
Harlem 1968 a group of young poets get together and found THE LAST POETS. With jazz or funk as a backdrop, percussions rolling and words shooting out like bursts of machine gun fire, the group denounces the oppression of African Americans, while painting a devastating yet humorous picture of life in the ghetto. Nearly forty years after their separation, the members of this legendary group - the founding fathers of today's hip hop, rap and slam - come together in Paris for a one-time concert at the 2008 Banlieues Bleues Festival.
From the intimacy of their Parisian rehearsal room, they evoke the past: the birth of the collective, the years of political unrest, their high-risk creative madness. THE LAST POETS: Made in Amerikkka is a film that erases the boundaries between different genres. It's a live recording, a musical documentary and an art film, all combined into one, and yet it goes beyond any of these. It is a film event, faithful to the spirit and the image of The Last Poets.

Most blacks are scared to even fight, unless is each other, When they were enslaved they outnumber the whites but still did not fight to death for their freedom, then after freed and into the 20's and through the 60's all they did was protest, again too scared to die in the attempt to earn respect and freedom. Freedom is not beautiful, freedom is painful, sad, bloody and has a lot of loses. If you cant or are not willing to do that, they will continue to kill you one by one, like pigs, cattle, and chickens, without remorse and with total right. right now we see how those pigs kill black ppl, yet there is not one who organizes a elite group of blacks who can hunt down these pigs and make a great example of them…well there was one RIP but that is not much, u need 200 men/women like him who are trained and good marksman to make great examples, you might be called terrorists after that, but thats the price to be equal and free. other than that blacks will be just like the song poem of The Last Poets" "Niggers are Scared Of Revolution"
Look up the quote of what Lyndon Baines Johnson said about black folk. He said that he would make black people slaves for another 200 years to paraphrase. He would enslave black people with Welfare. Look it up.
Many nights in Buffalo were spent listening, playing bongos & congos and telling these stories (rapping). Why don't more of us let our children know that They did not create Rap….miss it…(E Pluribis Unum).
