I'm with you oldschoolruler; this is what rap once was and should be now . That is, celebratory of black genius rather than portraying the debasement of our people. Sadly, nothing to on air today matches the fierce ethnic pride, fearless truth-telling, and rich musicality of the Last Poets. Now, one can hear/see the most grotesque images of blacks anyware on the airwaves. Back in the day, however, we could not find the Last Poets anyware except WLIB (in NYC) or WHUR (in DC). Progress? Nope.
