Great talk and teacher But his talk of socialism instantly turned me off. And it's a shame too. He makes a great point about learning our African history and contributions. THAT I will take up and continue my journey of learning. But he can keep all that socialism stuff, you can organize and use the power of the people without compromising the rights of the individual for the rights of a collective group. The Heart has Reason…that Reason Knows Not. When for thousands of Years Your Brain hard wired to Africa,unconscious attractions, etc. READing and learning is a European Northern Brain Process hard wired European Brain. Now you SUPER IMPOSE that wired European brain dominate the African hard wired brain that learned from debate observation tribal traditions,but little reading. I find the same condition here in Mexico with the MAYANS brain hard wired very different than European Hard Wired Brain. the Heart has Reasons.
Even,some archaeologist, has just discover that there were, blacks living, in America ,before the Indian came.and wipe them away then occupy it.The oldest human skull bone,discover,, has the feautures, of an African..and that they came from Australia..
Great lecture but Socialism does not work, never worked and will never work. I have traveled to 15 countries in African alone and most of these countries had adopted socialism and everywhere socialism was an abysmal failure; the system breeds corruption and it is right down evil. Look at what socialism done to Ethiopia in the 1980's and only when the country adopted a free market system in the past 10 to 15 years, Ethiopia has been registering over 10 per cent annual growth and the country is poised to become the Dubai of North East Africa. One has to be extremely naive to think socialism works no matter how good the theory might look on paper.
I am south african and i wish Dr Toure had spoken to ANC leaders immediately in those days because under this "new democratic south africa" the ruling party,the ANC, has been coopted by the whites due to their political lines of "unity". Whites still own 90% the country's wealth, cooperations, media and land. I want the whole world to know that even F.W DeKerk ( President during apartheid) openly said that in 1994 "the ANC won at the elections but the whites won at the negotiations".
