Kevin Johnson says:

So isn't this like socialism vs. capitalism?

Glory of Africa says:

Both men are right, Kwame Ture spoke from political point of view in relation to the revolutionary vision of African unity. on the other hand Molefi Asante spoke from historical physiological and philological effect on African people and the need of consciousness of Afrocentrism in order to reach pan-africanism.

dyonomite reacher says:

There is not ONE Afrikan government in Afrika . In order to Afrocentrise we have to Pan-Afrikanise , in order to Pan-Afrikanise we have to Afrocentrise . This is 1996 wow .

Myk-El Sumaila says:

Pan-Africanism is Pan – beyond(expand) and Africanism – African centralism. Pan-Africanism literally means Africa and beyond. Ideally, Afrocentrism should be the base for Pan-Africanism which seeks to expand and to bring Africa to the world could be projected.

Pan-Africanism therefore must look at the essential characteristics of the African society(Afrocentrism) towards achieving the objective. It should not be socialist or capitalist base. The African traditional system of economics is base on collectivism, cooperation and communalism – which is contemporary social democracy.

Marcus Garvey's philosophy of Pan-Africanism was concentered on the African people or race, which was different from Dubois Pan-African socialist philosophy. And in dealing with the unity of Africa, the African society(Afrocentricity) is multi-cultural and heterogeneous; therefore the idea should be about the unity of the African people of the world(beyond Africa) towards an objective – which essentially is Pan-Africanism.

Stacey Green says:

And as a long we continue letting them rule well always fall short.

Monalisa Banks says:

True Prof. Asante. Even in South Africa, the so called newest and youngest independent country, blacks are IN government, but there is NO black government. White ideology is still much practiced there because the white man pretty much rules the world. Africans are divided in thought and until we all are on the same page as you rightly said, the white man will continue ruling over us.

Manli Tian says:

你个人 你刚刚和人. George Lincoln rockwell crushed Carmichael in late sixtys

Kwame Ajanaku says:

im·pu·ni·ty
exemption from punishment or freedom from the injurious consequences of an action.
"the impunity enjoyed by military officers implicated in civilian killings"
synonyms: immunity, indemnity, exemption (from punishment), freedom from liability, nonliability, license

NkrumahTure says:

Afrocentricity makes a admirable effort to give blacks/ africans a philosophical base for identity. As a revolutionary I can't be antagonistic to afrocentricity, but I do not agree with Dr. Asante and his followers placing the concept of Pan-Africanism inside the definition of Afrocentricity. Pan Africanism must maintain its revolutionary character and needs no other philosophy for its reason to exist, it stands on its own. The idea and work of pan-africanism predates afrocentricity. Afrocentricity is closer to the concept of Negritude created by Aime Cesire. I add that Pan-Africanism is defined as the liberation and political unification of Africa under Scientific Socialism, and our philosophy as Nkrumahists is Philosophical Consciencism, it is a ideology and philosophy for the de-colonization of our people, one we accept. Pan-Africanism for us is an objective, not a ideology.  As revolutionaries our political ideology is Nkrumahism, our philosophy is Consciencism. The aspirations of our people is embodied in the organized revolutionary political party(All-African People's Revolutionary Party) which is part of  the Pan-African movement.

Muhammad Ali says:

Can you imagine this was only 18 years ago…1996 is when i left my Princedom and  came to america like Eddie Murphy's Coming to America Movie…..searching for my Queen in Queens~~~

Muhammad Ali says:

21:10 Untill Africa is free no afro/african or african american/black colored/negro in the world will every be free or respected.

Shepenupet Awusida Lasin Ani says:

"AFRIKANCENTRIC" PAN AFRIKANISM, THE  'RBG' IS THE GOAL AND GRAND OBJECTIVE FOR THE ORGANIZATION AND "UNITY" OF THE AFRIKAN PEOPLE…ASE'

SagesseNoir says:

I wonder if the All African Peoples Revolutionary Party is stil operating. I met members of that organization while I was a university student. But I've not encountered any members of that party lately
