I am so glad that she mentioned sexism in America. This is not to dismiss sexism in the Black community, but White women should be agreeing with this woman right now because there are tons of films on the Lifetime channel that depict sexism between White men onto White women. This is why there was a feminist movement of the 1960s. As a Black woman, I will never say "we created a feminist movement" because that movement was not for us. I still cannot understand what some of my sisters are talking about when they say they say nothing wrong with the feminist movement. I believe that some Black women made the wrong decision by joining some White women in that movement because our struggle is way different than their struggle. Who were some Black women trying to liberate themselves from? The Black man. I don't think so. No Black man told me that I couldn't do something or be something. I was always uplifted by them. :)

Carver was given credit in popular folklore for many inventions that did not come out of his lab. Three patents (one for cosmetics; US 1522176, issued 1925-01-06, and two for paints and stains; US 1541478, issued 1925-06-09 and US 1632365, issued 1927-06-14) were issued to Carver in 1925 to 1927; however, they were not commercially successful.[56] Aside from these patents and some recipes for food, Carver left no records of formulae or procedures for making his products.
