When you buy an airplane ticket you are automatically accepting that the airline can bump you from a seat at any time for any reason. All of this could have been avoided if the man would have just simply took the free hotel room, the money, and left the plane. He thought that by being a doctor his position was of a higher priority than all of the other passengers. If he refused to leave, he's holding up the flight. How else can they remove him without calling the police or security. I agree that dragging him like a sack of shit was excessive though. They could have picked him up and walked him off.

We get so wrapped up in color/ race, that we fail to see the problem. No one ever talks about how these corporations' shady practices give them carte blanche to treat paying customers anyway they wish. These airlines REGULARLY overbook flights, charging 2 or 3 times for one seat. Then when everyone shows up to fly, their issue of greed becomes everyone's issue of inconvenience. The airlines argue that they do that b/c not everyone shows up for their flights. But so what?! THE SEAT IS PAID FOR! And airlines usually do not give refunds. So, at the end of the day, the corporations are winning while the people are losing. However, while we're arguing about who the bigger societal victims are, these companies keep making money hand over fist, using unfair practices while we suffer. Smh. God damn! Look at the bigger picture for once!
