Brother Polight sat down once more with DJ Vlad to speak about policing in America and how “common customs” have influenced the culture. En route to a toy drive in Cleveland, OH, Polight was stopped and harassed by LAPD for the second time in a matter of days. He explains the incident and how he feels he and a friend were profiled and treated unfairly, and why he decided to take legal actions against the system. He speaks with Vlad about his encounters with police having been negative since before he moved out of “the hood.” The pair also delves into the policies that may turn away people of color from becoming officers and how that shifts the participation in politics.

In other words, the government attempted to compensate freed slaves for 20 years after slavery. BUT, the KKK was formed and murdered and terrorized Black families from their property and farms. FURTHERMORE, THE U.S. SUPREME COURT SAID WE CAN BE "SEPARATE, BUT EQUAL" (Plessy vs. Ferguson, 1895)….and this began nearly 70 years of JIM CROW LAWS. SO IRISH AND ITALIAN IMMIGRANTS—-NO MATTER HOW LOW THEY WERE IN THEIR HOMELAND—WERE TREATED BETTER BECAUSE THEY WERE "WHITE"…..AND NOT LIKE THE "NIGGERS". They learned they could get an advantage over the NATIVE, BLACK AMERICANS by saying they were "white". So, being an Irish or Italian immigrant didn't matter. They all learned quickly they could disrespect the children of slaves……because the USA said they are "white" and therefore, superior.

I see a young man who is getting his life together and trying to help others. He thoroughly understands the political and cultural system we live in. He has matured as a man whose mind is no longer sucking milk as a baby but as a man eating steak. The wisdom that he attain and is trying to share maybe over whelming to those who are not ready to except his gift of knowledge. Like they use to say, "You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink.', is true. One has to be willing to expand their mind, study and read understand what he is saying.
