Hard to watch he seems choked up at times.
I can relate to Brother Polight about feeling overwhelmed about meeting his mother for the first time. I barely met my dad's family for the first time a few months ago and it was very overwhelming. Looked for my father for 33 years and never met him just found he died in 2011, so that was overwhelming.
Thank you for sharing your story. It takes strength to grow from this pain. So many of us share a similar story. We need more brothers like you sharing our growth unapologetically.
I'm so glad Vlad started this interview off by addressing his troubled childhood and life in general. When people have a history as horrible as "brother polight's", it's no surprise to me or any intelligent and unbiased individual as to why he now holds the twisted beliefs he does. Polygamy, shootouts, and conning masses of people are not definitively caused by a horrible childhood and life in general, but I think it's completely fair to say that his fucked up life traumatized and changed him to become the ignorant and dangerous conman he is today. It just saddens me that there are black men such as "brother polight" who take advantage of their fellow blacks and thereby hold them back in the world, but it disturbs me even more that the blacks who support him don't know any better and will defend him with all their heart.
