Later Garvey would publish this prophecy with slightly altered words in his UNIA Newspaper gaining the popularity for this and be considered as the prophet of the Garveyites and by many misinformed Rastas as the prophet of the Rastafarians and so-called Rastafarianism.
However, be that as it may, it was the Reverend James Morris Webb, the author of A Black Man will be the Coming Universal King, Proved by Biblical History, who had preached this messages years before meeting Garvey and again spoken to the same effect at a meeting in 1924 both before Garvey had also said these words and after.
