I would love to find a video or audio of the Black Woman's Guide to the Black Man as I completely agree to what she stated in this book and would love to hear more about what I can do and how brothers can possibly be reached and, ultimately, to have a better more deeper understanding of the beloved and honorable but often disrespected and emasculated Black man!
Today over 85% of black women are single. Think about the state of black women today ? In the early 90's before flat screen TVs were invented black women stood up by the millions on national TV and said Sis. Shahrazad social views were wrong fast forward today look at state of black women today.
A friendly note I all the women commenting against this sister, citing the sentiments that she needs to get on men about the things they do:
First, she has a counter book called the black woman's guide to understanding the black man. She DID that! OK?
Second, just as the black man has to be responsible for his roles, YOU have to be responsible for your part, your role, and your decisions and the results that followed.
You can start by ending your demonizing generalizations of black men, as though the majority of men are somehow the blame of your problems. The common denominator in your lives with men is YOU.
As a black man who passionately loves black women and has the maturity to face up to my roles, decisions, and their results without blaming you, it's time y'all did the same – take responsibility for the way you have allowed and decided for things to go in your lives. Not every black man is your enemy, a disease carrier, a player, a loser, a moocher, or a dog. You've allowed those types (a small percentage of us black men btw) into your lives while passing up the rest of us who love you, and where you are is the result. Quit hating on this sister calling on you to face the truth about your role in the breakdown of our relationships, take responsibility for your part, and work on changing you, so that when us black men who are looking for true queens to be with see women like you, you'll be among the number we have good relationships with. She's telling the truth, including what submit really means. But because many of you wish to listen to lonely and ignorant experts filled with self hate, you can't find love with black men. Get it through your heads and hearts: you can't change others, only yourself. And when you change you, things change for you.
Should you choose to not heed these or her words and you find yourselves continuing in misery, you only have yourselves to blame.
Please, listen, and see how the men who have loved you have been hurt by you, and how you can change that.
wow. I am a white man and this black woman is hitting so many correct points. Support and stand with your man. Feminism has dammed so many men.

She is all the way right!!
Like a time capsule..thank you.
Sadly, everything Shahrazad Ali was saying over 25 years ago has manifested.
I like when she calls us American Africans instead of African americans.
The Dice Man!!
I truly love you sister for feeding my spirit the way you do thank you my Queen Peace and blessings

My spiritual mother
Everything she said was real and we need her asap in this day and age talking that truth
the ONLY part I don't like is the hitting of the sister
besides that, I like what she said…
I read her books
and, her book on pork is deep, hilarious too, but deep
What a brilliant woman. A TRUE "queen".
Asalamu caleykum sis
Thank you for this, black East African female here showing you some ❤️
