Just to clear up some confusion.Tupac definately had Black Panther references in his music and consciousness in his raps. I agreed with Griff without fully comprehending his statement. Sorry for the mistake regarding his legacy
Great interview and insight on the man, the myth, the legend that is 2pac. There is no doubt that 2pacs biggest flaw was the people he chose to surround himself with. He was young and wreck less but we all were and are in our 20's. However it is ill advised to stomp on any gang member and believe me Vegas is full of them especially on fight nights here. These people do not play around and I believe he may have thought he was invincible after surviving that earlier shooting where he was shot 5 times. It is ultimately just extremely sad and such a waste of talent that he had to leave us so early.
The film was good but I felt they kind of rushed to his success in the film. Maybe if they explored Afeni more in the beginning of the film and then enter Tupac and how he was so influenced by his mother and his family then it would have been more effective overall. He grew up too quick in the movie and next thing you know he has a record deal like dayum, but it was more like bullet points of his life and this happened and then this happened. I hope Demetrius Shipp Jr. wins all those awards for his performance tho on the real!! He did that right there!! And for someone's first time acting too? Man he did that!! I didn't get an impersonation vibe from him like all those other guys. He became Pac!
I think it was the screenplay and directional flow of the movie. It was kinda choppy. But it is hard getting that amazing life music and passion inside of 2.5 hrs too. The young lady whom played Afeni Shakur was excellent. Loved how they represented her. Demitrius Shipp did okay. And the brother whom played Snoop bout stole the show.

This film really should have been as long as Ray Charles !
The film was good but I felt they kind of rushed to his success in the film.
