I am 59 years old. I was 14 years old when the black power movement ended by 1972. During the revolutionary decade of the 1960s’ when Black people were in open rebellion against the injustices of the US government, there were many factions. The factions were:

The Conscious Community is the intellectual vanguard of the movement for liberation. It is the mental software for the true liberation of African American people and the cleansing of their minds of the rightness of whiteness. The African American walks around with the greatness of white people floating around in his/her mind and the inferiority of black people.
Afrocentrism is the foundation of the (Black) Conscious Movement. Kemet (Egyptian History) is its cornerstone. False history was used to dehumanize black people in order to justify the enslavement of black people.
African and the Descendants of the slave’s scholars battled the Eurocentrists at a conference at the United Nations. The issue of the peopling of Egypt came to a head in 1974 when UNESCO hosted a conference in Cairo aimed at discussing the latest research on the peopling of Egypt.
Senegalese historian Cheikh Anta Diop (Historian, Anthropologist, Physicist) and Theophile Obenga ( PhD in Humanities- Comparative historical linguistics, Prehistoric archeology-Egyptology) of the Democratic Republic of Congo led a team that crushed the Eurocentrists false history on whether the Egyptians were white or black. African Scholarship was victorious.
The Conscious community follows the teachings of our teachers who are now ancestors and our current teachers.
We believe that learning our true history will raise our consciousness and help liberate African peoples and equip them to fight our eternal enemy, white supremacy in all of its shapes and forms.
Christians and Nationalist factions have a book (scholarship) to support their ideology, the Bible and the Koran. Whereas the Black Power, Pan-Africanist, and Afro-centrist did not have a book (scholarship) supporting their movement that the masses of Black people knew about.

During the 1970s the Afro-centrist developed scholars and books that supported the movement’s ideology.

So the Conscious Community is the fusion of the Black Power, Pan-Africanist, and Afro-centrist movement.
The Christians have their history book (63) – the Bible
The Muslims have their history book (?)– The Koran
Now the Afro-Centrist have their history books (1000+) researched based – the work of the above mentioned scholars and many more

Objective: spread this knowledge of self to the masses of African Americans
