Boban Milisavljevic says:

Thank you for teaching. This interview was very uplifting and as a white guy just woke me up to the fact that my dollars can and should go into black communities instead of the money saturated white communities.

Also, since movies are used to train us to feel and respond in a particular way, imagine if some movies came out with themes like how great it is to work for black folks or how opening businesses in the black community is the cool thing to do. Maybe it would catch on eventually and could give a positive image to the world instead of some of those classic 90s movies that highlight the negative

Hello Brother Rich,
I am a graphic designer and web developer. I would love to add to your project. I can design flyers, e-flyers, banners and websites for the business that will be developed for your mission.

The NEW Hidden Figures!

I want to continue to uplift and add to what Professor James Smalls & Bro. Roc are saying. Thank you brothers. Peace and One Love!

I feel we also have to not make the same mistakes that Saint Domingue/Haiti made. 1804

1.The Haitians were given an illusion that their sugar, coffee, and tobacco were essential commodities to the rest of the world. After they rose to independence in 1804, they learned that their goods weren't necessarily needed. They would fall shortly after. Which brings up 1 of many reasons why the movie "Hidden Figures" is such a valuable lesson.

2. In addition they also fell into debt with France and the US. They even were forced to pay reparations to most French people due to murdering so many and the destruction of so much of "their" own land. Which would be like African Americans having to pay reparations to Anglo Saxons due to a civil war/revolution of independence.

3. No vengeance. Another reason for the Haitians downfall was due to Jean Jacques Dessalines still desiring to kill off the French even after the Revolutionary war was over. He became like someone he actually admired, "Napoleon Bonaparte". He became a dictator to also his own people which resulted in him being assassinated 2 years later in 1806.

Now, adding on to the video. Becoming independent is an excellent idea. I learned 1 of many, many things in the movie Hidden Figures. It's good to have something "they" need.

African American consumers(a.k.a. – The Ebony Magazine Effect)
http://www.nielsen.com/us/en/insights/news/2013/african-american-consumers-are-more-relevant-than-ever.html

1. I'd like to suggest having a "Sillicon Valley".

2. I'd also like to suggest creating a "new currency".
http://www.theatlantic.com/business/archive/2011/04/how-to-start-your-own-private-currency/73327/

http://www.cnn.com/2014/08/01/business/making-money-start-your-own-currency/index.html

3. I'd like to suggest a "true" and refined democracy among 1 another. A major reason why Dessalines and Garvey's plans didn't iron out was based on a dictatorship, power, and fame. African American power can't look like "their" power. We won't go for it nor will it last long. Garvey had mostly incompetent people around him and in his highest positions. Do you wonder why? We must all be one and not ever, ever, ever criticize each other's ideas or way of thinking. Remember we're all pretty jacked up emotionally, mentally and psychologically. In a true democracy everyone wins and everyone plays a valuable role. Nobody is more superior to the other. There is no capitalism. There is no greed. There is no malicious competition. And lastly, there is no fame. Fame and power is a deadly component of the destruction of the culture and consciousness of spirituality and mind. Ego should not exist among a true nation of wealth, love, and peace. Thank you for your time and attention. Have an awesome day.

Please feel free to fact check me as it relates to Haiti and Garvey.

I am all for operating our own businesses. My challenge is identifying partners or co-operators. I meet up with people who want to get business from me but not to work together to build. I am in NYC's tourism industry and really need folks to build with me.

I really wish Professor James Smalls (or one of our leaders) had an introduction video for Christians. I have tons of ppl interested, yet scared. If anyone knows of one, please reply. Thanks.

Michelle Martin says:

Love you Dr. Smalls. You are one powerfully exceptional mentor/leader!

Michelle Martin says:

It would be nice if people who make comments make them grammatically correct and use proper punctuation – one of the purposes of education is to teach those things. I'm really tired of reading comments that don't make sense. Along with building strong black communities we need to build strong black educated minds. We will be in a world of trouble if the illiterate are minding the store. Hotep.

Dok Knight says:

The GREAT MAJORITY OF BLACK MEN in AmeriKKKa today are the result of two products of low self-worth: 1. Social engineering via KKKracKKKa-T.V., and, 2. Being raised in a household wholly headed by the female…………and so Black Men's difficulty in coming together for self-determination is due to those Black Men echoing the negative sentiments of their female parent/guardian….AND KKKracKKKa-T.V.

Dok Knight says:

Where in the HELLITED STATES OF AMERIKKKA can Black People go???? Everybody appears to be SO DAMNED DIVIDED in their concepts, solutions, theories, and so forth…….I'm tired also, of going to these damned KKKracKKKas for employment when I know good'n damned well that white employers are not actually being "benevolent;" what they're DOING is operatin' in a way that's designed to keep Black People from really and truly deciding to do for themselves.

Dok Knight says:

This all sounds great, and a bag 'o chips……….But, THE ONLY REASON it appears that KKKracKKKas are NOT terrorizin' US is because WE have attained the level of efficiency in TERRORIZIN' OUR OWN PEOPLE……….SAY IT AIN'T SO!!

Dok Knight says:

But, THE COWARDISM MOSTLY CONSIST OF what forms THE CURRENT PARADIGM in the Black Community, which is Black Female over Black Male, and if this is NOT the case, then THIS PART OF THE WILLIE LYNCH THEORY is an illusion that we haven't recognized as such.

Dok Knight says:

That is JUST WHAT "INTEGRATION" IS: A psychological expression of "If you can't beat 'em, join 'em."

Danni Love says:

Brother Rich, after watching this video and giving it some time to sync in, I have a few questions and concerns about operating a business in the black community. If the objective is to provide services, jobs and build welth then,
1. How would you influence the peole of the community who have been indoctrinated with an integration equals acceptance mindset to spend their hard earned dollars at a black verses a non- black business?
2. How can you make money in a neighborhoods or communities that are more economically challenged?

I know good food in any community would make money, but would quality organic, green salads, juices, and elixers be something you would put in the black community? I've heard on this channel recently that "being green is being black." Would green in our communities thrive or should we as the collective go and get our great uncle Robert's famouse BBQ recipes and open a resturant you know our people would gravitate towards?

Brother Rich, thank you for another thought provoking video. Your platform is amazing and I appreciate the diligence you take to ensure our people have a place to go to listen and discuss topics like these.
