How can these people not understand the point Umar is making? He mentioned other communities with functioning economies and Infrastructure? Whatever the black community is, it's way too fractured to function properly. We pay a lot of lip service to black empowerment but I think we are finding out is that s whole lot of our ppl on this era do not value the collective over precious individualism – you saw what happened when Umar had the audacity to suggest the novel notion that black ppl should probably be exclusively marrying each other to form communities with our best interests in mind. I can't stand when people want to cite personal experience in an attempt to refute a strong point – if you agrrr that black ppl have endured a unique type of systemic bias , prejudice, and oppression – if you can see the fact that many if our dysfunctional situations come from troubled single parent upbringings, if you know your history and know the fact that the phrase "it takes a village " has African origins then how can not agree that we need s strong functioning committed to see outside of our individual situations and take pride in the collective to help out our unique situations. Race is a team sport and we stay not wanting to team up / smhh – it's only gonnna hey worse on this era – social media hasn't been and isn't a good thing for us either
These hosts are annoying. They didn't bring him on to learn anything apparently but rather to try to prove Dr. Umar wrong in some way. I do not agree with everything Dr. Umar says but I understand and agree with the foundation of the message.
