Ray it would be great if you could come and educate the aboriginal population of Australia. Even the elders can't help their own people. Aboriginal people won't take advice from a white person. You could do really well speaking to those here. They would listen to a well educated successful black man.
I agree with Ray. I give credit to any business owner who try. we may not get it right 200 percent of the time but don't knock the business because they black. until you have been white and deal with white then comment. white are pleasant to blacks and black try to appease whites. but to say you won't do business with blacks is a disgrace.
I see this all the time also. That's why I refuse to do business with them and call them out on their unprofessionalism.

I Believe what your saying Black Folks has really a bad attitude among there people always. Big cities are like that everywhere when you see Black people.
A person with a negative state of mind can come from a business owner, customer service agent, the employee, the customer etc. I believe we all have a responsibility to show respect to one another. This to me is called being a respectable human being. A woman or man who respect's their selves will respect others. I have neighbors who will not speck, but I speak anyway…."Be thoughtful of others".
Your insight is spot on. I am also a Black business owner and I see it everyday. The nasty attitudes, poor customer service, and the most annoying thing……….owners whose stores are supposed to be open from 9 to 5 closing their stores in the middle of the day for an hour or so without warning to their customers to go do whatever. How hard could it be to train someone to run the business while you're out. I have NEVER gone to a white owned business that was closed in the middle of the day. Could you imagine going to Walmart and there is a damn sign on the door that says……"Gone to lunch. Be back in an hour. Really????? I never go back to those businesses.

As a former resident of the DMV area for 10 years, you are absolutely correct about black businesses in the area. It is pretty sad which made me have to work twice as hard in my own business with my customers to overcome that stereotype of how some black businesses treat their customers.
Ok but it goes both ways as far as bad attitudes. Too many Black customers don't respect Black businesses. I've heard from several Black business owners who have complained about how some Black customers want a "Black discount". Meaning they don't feel they should pay full price on something just because they're Black and you're a Black business. Those Black customers don't act like that with White businesses. Black people need to learn to treat a Black business just like any other business.

Am black and I went in americas best eyeglasses place full of black bitches. And they only people who was friendly was the white eye exam doctor and the white women that worked there made me feel comfortable.

Or something is in need of repairs…or some beggar has found their way to stand in front of the black business. Young men hanging around the front of the Black Business just standing around talking loud and cussing. Trash on the ground from the clients they serve. Closed when everyone else is open. Sleeping late and opening on CP time. Un-organization. Higher Prices! Attitudes!
