That pass Goff threw to Sammy Watkins was awesome! Two Niners right there and he just dropped it in the bead basket! The Ram's have a way to go but when Sean Mcvay was hired he said he expected improvement every week from every player! Rams made a good hire in McVay! Goff doesn't have a strong arm but neither did Montana! I know Goff isn't Montana but Iam old enough and grew up in sacramento which means all the niner games were broadcast there! And they do have a lot of similarities physically! When I see Goff roll out it just reminds me of Montana! Of course all the Niner fans hate the Goff but who cares! It must of sucked to the niner fans to realize that they were looking at the QB who they are going to have to face twice a year! Hopefully this game is a sign of things to come with the Rams vs 49ers rivalry !And as for Hoyer he's probably just good enough to stop the 49ers from getting one of the top two QB's in the 2018 NFL Draft! How about those Rams!!!
The NFL story is filled with QB's that came in the league and while they had every gift a passer and play caller need to be great, the team they went to wasn't great. A QB is only as good as the guys blocking and giving him time. People forget that there are hall of famers that were TERRIBLE their first couple of years in the NFL. Terry Bradshaw had twice as many picks as TD's, Troy Aikman lost ALL 15 of his first starts, Brett Farve was let go by the Falcons before being claimed by Green Bay, Phil Simms was not very good his first 2 years in, Trent Dilfer, one of the saddest stories…was amazing in college, went to a ROTTEN Tampa Bay team and got the crap beat out of him. Tampa was a grave yard. They had several QB's that later went on to win Super bowls elsewhere. Doug Williams, Steve Young, Trent Dilfer…all have rings from getting out of Tampa Bay. Jared Goff can make every single NFL throw, he's a potential HOF'er, no doubt. As long as McVay keeps a good O line in front of him, they're going to win Super Bowls.
