Burning Spear-Marcus Garvey & Garvey’s Ghost
Original version of Burning Spear track "Marcus Garvey" with its dub version "The Ghost" (Produced by Jack Ruby in 1975 for Island Records) and performed by The Black Disciples band, assembled from The Soul Syndicate and The Wailers.
Some artists transcend the need for award, but are nonetheless deserving of decades of accolade. Burning Spear is such an artist. A music-maker, community icon, educator, spiritual uplifter; Burning Spear's importance to culture existed before media spotlight, and has only grown since.
For more than four decades and nearly 30 albums, Burning Spear, a Jamaican rastafarian roots reggae singer and musician born in March 1945, has carried the torch of the gospel of political activist Marcus Garvey, promoting self-determination and self-reliance for African descendants through lyrics and rhythms that truly deliver the messages of peace and love to all.

trompets straight from heaven !
truth hurts some people.
Nice music. A shame that the truth about Marcus Garvey is not so pleasant.
This is "like" one of my favorite songs of all time. It makes my soul cry for joy.
