I'm 24 years old and just found out about this last month while watching Hidden Colors. I must admit, this pissed me tf off!! I mean, yeah, it's in the past. But just imagine where those black folks and there families could have been today…smdh. And to think, these people never got reparations is just fuckin' despicable! Just goes to show you that even to this day, black people are still hated and kept from real prosperity.
And They tried to say it was a RACE RIOT! ..You know how they usually do when they want to accuse Back People of being any & everything negative!…while they Murder, Hang, Burnt alive looted & tried to Exterminate those innocent ppl in cold blood! .. smdh

black history spans way beyond slavery so they should call it the History of Africans in America, because black history would take a life time, not just one short 28 day month. I am proud of you Rob keep going bro. black men like you is what gives me hope for our future.
What's with all these majorly overdue half hearted apologies? Wrongs are only acknowledge when the perpetrators are dead and gone, no wonder black history is only dedicated a month. They want to hide all of this information. Knowledge is power, when you know who you are have self worth and what your purposes is in life then nobody can touch you and you become greater as you strive towards your destiny. Sad times we are living in…..sad times.
That was part of what is called "Red Summer." If was a series of racial attacks that summer, including a race riot in Chicago at the time. You are right it is routinely glossed over during Black History Month.
Good point man. Where are all the black athletes, actors, politicians, etc.? Instead we have people like Floyd Mayweather, one of the richest athletes in the world, spending millions on cars and diamond chains. Most of them are sell-outs.
I learned about this last year & it made me very upset,,,but I've been researching a lot about our ppls history & loved watching hidden colors. It made me feel empowered!! but I also found out about a document that was in place called THE MARYLAND DOCTRINE OF EXCLUSION which was a document that states that by law black people were not allowed to achieve the same successes as whites, they claim this document was disservice in the 60's but I feel like it still applies to us today…my point is that learning the truth about my people makes me want to take a stand
And as an Oklahoma native that lives less than 10 minutes away from Tulsa I can honestly say NOTHING is the same there….people view it (Black Wall Street area) as trash til this day.

Fact is, should your presentation/position reach any descendants, hear this; with processes of forensic accounting and proper management of the facts, a class action suit is imminent. Should you or any of your viewers know a descendant of these circumstances, the admission in 2013 of the officer is one place to begin (I imagine his kin folk advised him to not do it). From there, hit them where it reaches their understanding. Fact is, our country would have benefited long ago from ALL of our contributions. Fear and bigotry has prevented ALL from benefiting. I have never heard of this before until I saw your video. I swear they don't teach us stuff like this in school and is pisses me off. I'm a senior in high school and my eyes have been open to a lot of things. I never want to take another history class in my life because I hate they way they are taught and I don't like the bias. Its just ughh… But this blows my mind I never knew about this. We as black people can band together and be strong we just need to get everyone on board it happened once I believe it can happen again. They try to hide the high points of our history from us. They try to keep us ignorant so we don't get any great ideas. But I ain't going I want to learn more about my history.
