I have been in the struggle since 1970. Just the way he dresses tells me that something is not right. And then a "professional" talking like he is straight off the block? All the cursing and name-calling? No.
I do not agree with the one drop rule. that rule is dead, finished, done, white people do not get to define the black race. it is not true that the white man cannot make himself from a black woman: Megan Markle. Lena Horne, Dorothy Dandrige., Rhianna, Beyonce, these women can pass for white. black people need to decide who they are and in my mind, the lighter your skin, the closer you are to white than black.
I like Umar Johnson, I don't agree with everything he says, but I listen to everything he says with an open mind because it's all insightful. Of course he is controversial, but I think people second guess his credibility because he comes off, at times, as overconfident, because he makes direct correlations with society issues without considering all factors. But then again, he talks about a lot of issues and gets straight to the point; consistently between all of his lectures. Without a doubt, he probably knew that he was bound to be stripped of his credentials because of the uproar he caused, so what can we say? You can tell he channeling his frustrations into constructive energy- not being able to start his school as he intended- for the better of the black community. Regardless, I support this man.
I'm sorry but you can't be upset with people holding you accountable for sitting on there 700K. How long do you think you get to keep telling people you are looking at schools? Or that you are this close to buying a school? You can love the message and hold this man accountable dont let anyone tell you that you are wrong for asking questions.
