His surname is pronounced "jobe" (the actually spelling of his surname is English speaking Gambia). Diop is my great uncle. I have all his books and like some of his writing. The only problem I and many Senegambians had with him was that, he was a coon because he married a white woman.

I've always said the key to black people becoming one and ultimately successful is self love and self validation.
Once you have that, you don't swirl and you become one with your community because you then know how great of a people we really are!
White people are so insecure with themselves. It's really sad.
I know that I'm late but I HAVE to show my thankfulness (un-worthy as it is) to a Titan that should never be forgotten!! I haven't taken in nearly enough of Dr. Diop's information and work, but I watched a video on him explaining how Africans populated the world with a beautiful African woman translating that information into English as he spoke. He told us that "nature never strikes twice." If nature created a living being in Africa, it's not going to recreate that same being in Europe! That information was very powerful to me because that made me realize how simple nature is. It is man (European/Asians) who complicated things. Nature didn't make Puerto Ricans, Cubans, African Americans, Jamaicans, Haitians etc… Nature created the AFRICAN! Anything outside of that African is a genetic mutation. That's what I took from the small amount of information that I was blessed to gather from our ancestor Dr. Cheik Anta Diop! I will definitely resume the gathering of information from the ancestor and never forget his name!!!!

This is magnificent, Professor! I actually bought a book by Dr. Diop before I actually heard of him: 'The African Origin of Civilization: Myth or Reality' as a gift for my dad. I then took the book back from my dad so I could read it (after asking him, of course!) after learning more of Dr. Diop from Dr. Clarke in the documentary, 'A Long and Mighty Walk.' Thank you again for this video.
