Im sorry but that is a very uncomfortable truth. No matter how much I would be in love with a person of caucasian race, that truth would still burn in the back of my mind. That truth would still hurt. I would feel very pained. I know we didn't have to pick cotton, but it still hurts my soul. I know their ancestors were the slave masters not them, but I bet they still have relatives that believe they are better than us. Imagine going to a family function while its just you. Getting all those side eye glares and strange remarks. Especially if I were white and went to a family function, I would be petrified. A woke family would eat them alive. Not because they are racist, but because they know the truth and they don't try to hide it. It still feels like I was there. It still feels like I was whipped and chained. I can feel what our ancestors felt.
