Black wallstreet was NOT a Hollywood for black folks. Black WallStreet was a community, It's own town. It had a bank, school, stores, homes, etc. It wasn't "basically" a Hollywood. What Black Wallstreet should show you is multiple things. 1. The power of the media, and the use of their deceptive, and divisive tactics. 2. If segregation happened again what we could build. 3. The damage of integration on black society and the community. Also learn about Redlining and the other Black Wallstreets that existed too. There were prominent areas in almost every city that were built by blacks. Please learn about your cities history and preserve it.
The majority of blacks are doomed to fail, I don't even think that there is any hope for them in the future.

It's a little known fact that the Blacks actually REBUILT Black Wall Street after it was destroyed. It prospered until the 1960s, when Desegregation gave Blacks different buying options and they took their money elsewhere. The riot/massacre did not kill Black Wall Street. Desegregation did.

Tommy, I don't think that it was the end of Jim Crow that broke black communities. I think it was the replacement of Jim Crow with the welfare state, affirmative action and the war on drugs. The welfare state removes incentive to work and also removes incentive for stable families, affirmative action removes incentive to better one's self and the war on drugs removes fathers by placing them in prison.
