Charles Stevens says:

WHAT JOHN HENRI CLARKE taught me is not to be afraid of holding your woman in her proper place………QUEENMOTHER! I have met a few Sisters in this life that deserve said respect, and I would not stand by and allow someone to swear in their presence because of the place I hold them in forever, they are WOMEN, without any preoccupation to act or be a man, but are strong in their own skin, these are the Women I gravitate to and learn from, and they have the ability to make you a greater man! We have lost her some where, and that was no accident ,yet through it all I have been blessed to come in contact with some true Queenmothers who nurture without prejudice, so strong was their constitution and could see through the lies.I have listened to the loving respectful tone his voice took on when he spoke of his Grandmother and the love she has for him, and how "HIS " FAMILY sat and decided what they were going to do with him, and what he was going to become, and I WISH I would have found him when he was alive so I could have studied under him, yet I have learned from him the importance of respecting our women, I have been guilty of not doing so in the past , and of that I am very much ashamed and my Mother is also, for she told me as much, for at that time I had lost faith in my people and self …… totally and turned to chemical intake as confused cowards will, such was I, nothing unique, been done before and as we speak ,all that energy for naught, headed for incarceration or the graveyard,I yearn to turn that around and beg for forgiveness from my Sisters on humble knees.

Charles Stevens says:

Malcolm X changed my life and ability to think with inteligence, and how to behave like a true HUMAN GENTLEMEN who happened to be BLACK, that became proud through my deeds by watching his mannerisms and his way of speaking and made them my own and they fit perfectiy and then , I became ashamed of my past behavior and realized I had alot of work to do as a Human being…..first. It takes way too much time trying to be a color just because someone thinks you should ; Point, Would you rather beat your chest and proclaim to be a Proud Black Man, or would you rather the masses point at you and say" Now there is a TRUE BLACK MAN! In my opinion ,your doings will speak to just those two statements when all is said and done .Legacy, your legacy will say that one way or the other, and I pray that I make you proud of me, cause Malcolm showed me that WE owe each other due to our behavior, and to think otherwise will ave you acting like …….them.

Kesha Montre says:

Always a pleasure to hear the Honorable JHCLARKE speak. Thank you. And forever thanks to MALCOLM
