I do not call them that as I understand their struggle as well.” But mr Johnson has a point: from Asians to Jewish people to Indian people, THEY GET RESPECT BECAUSE THEY ARE INHERENTLY, AT TIMES OVERTLY RACIST; adhere to strong ethical, family and religious ties, to a point where my Black American friend’s cousin was an Engineer out of college making six figures, wanted to marry an Indian girl, HER INDIAN FAMILY EXCOMMUNICATED HER. Another friend of mine, most intelligent conservative respectful Black American man I know, is in a relationship with an Asian woman, HER FAMILY HAS FORBID THEIR UNION AND DO NOT SUPPORT THEM TRYING TO MAKE A LIFE TOGETHER as educated professionals to raise children to potentially become the same. HE’S BLACK IS ALL THEY NEED TO DISCREDIT HIM; his MBA DOES NOT MATTER! The reason Black people get no respect as Dr. Johnson says, our family structure is torn, our education of our children, particularly our young boys II men IS TORN, and BECAUSE OF EXACTLY WHAT YOU SEE IN THIS VIDEO, WE WILL NOT COME TOGETHER TO PUSH / SUPPORT OUR OWN AGENDA FOR PROSPERITY IN THIS COUNTRY!

Wow! Why bring him on just to try to tear him down. That's unfortunate. Why not use this as an opportunity to understand Dr. Umar's point of view? My husband is from Rhode Island and of course, you date the people that are around you, so he dated primarily white women before me. He told me early in our relationship that he had an experience with being profiled by the police every time he would drive home from work. They would pull him out of the car, sit him on the curb, search the car, etc. When he would share his experiences with her she wouldn't understand how he felt. He told me that with me he finally had someone to hold him up and support him, knowing that every time he stepped out of the door, there were people against him at no fault of his own. That is why black men should marry black women. Understanding the concept of what is is to be black and actually being black are two different things. We can hold each other up in ways others simply can not. No shade on white women, but it is what is. Its like experiencing loss, you can sympathize and even try empathize with someone who has lost a child, but speaking to someone who has actually lost a child is completely different. What I don't understand is what is so wrong with encouraging our people to stand up with our own people. Especially when we know one of the root causes for our current state as a people is the breakdown of the black family. We need strong black couples/ families and children with both parents in the household, educating and developing real communities more than ever right now. Every problem we have directly impacts this bottom line; from crime to income inequality. We have been systematically taught to hate ourselves since we were young so I see why our men would flock to other races, and not find beauty in their own women. Its unfortunate. In my life, I have met guys that say that they only date white women and prefer them because of various reasons, all stemming from self hatred of their own people: "black girls don't have full pony-tails" "white girls give the best fellatio", "black girls have too much attitude", "white girls do what they are told, and are easier to run", "you get away with more with a white girl", "you can touch white girls hair". These are the stupidest things I have ever heard of. Never have I heard that they understand them better, and provide a higher level of support/ understanding the struggle, etc. I feel that our men are fed these stereotypes in movies, music and popular culture growing up and fell right into it. There is nothing wrong with being un-apologetically into your own people and furthering your own needs FIRST! They do it all the time. I don't see any white people going to the banks and emptying out accounts and wanting the money to be transferred into black account holders names, or turning down low interest rate loans because their black counterparts aren't getting the same low interest (if any at all). Turning down scholarships to the black person to their left, and getting two jobs to get themselves through school. They don't turn down those benefits of being white and give them up to others. They can only sympathize and say, oh black people should be able to have these things too. I feel that is what he meant when he said asked are white people systematically enacting change. Are they giving up their mortgage financing to black people who are pushed to high interest mortgages with PMI for the whole life of the damn loan, NO!! Why would they? What we call white privilege, they just call Regular life. The same reason that pretty girls aren't picketing for ugly girls to get free drinks at the club (heard this reference on Def Comedy Jam (don't want to steal his jokes). Lastly, I think his message gets lost in translation when you try to dissect and tear it apart. We don't want your table, or a a seat at your table. We want an even playing field to either build or buy our own damn table without your negative interference!
