Decartes, the French philosopher, wrote: I think, therefore I am. An Afrikan philosopher named John Mbiti took a look at that shit and felt that white folks ALWAYS emphasize the individual, but We Afrikans? Well, We emphasized the Community. So Mbiti wrote: i am because We are, and since We are, therefore I am. He means that without the Community, i am nothing, for it is the Community that gives me my identity and is the source of my strength. To the European guy below named "worldgonemad", the ONLY reason you white folk hate it when my people acknowledge our victimhood, is because when the identifier "victim" is used, it implies there is a VICTIMIZER. So, white guilt is provoked every time We acknowledge that We didn't do this shit to ourselves, that it was done to Us, by THEM, the VICTIMIZER. But, hey, "worldgonemad" is simply expressing his culture's attitude. He can't help it, the crazy muthufuker. Let him be. Our goal now is to get the hell out of this shithole culture, in the many ways We can Spiritually, psychologically, educationally, socially, medically, etc. Peace.
