I LOVE Dr. Claude Anderson! He's trying to teach Africans in America the way, the truth and the life and most of us are walking around deaf, dumb and blind. I'm glad my eyes began to open up 2 years ago.

SimZim aka AFROKING says:

Just watched this. I was lucky to be there at this Premiere, all I'm saying is lezzzz go!

King 27 says:

Dr.Anderson been telling us this for 20 years. The man has an immense amount of knowledge and is a leader, but we haven't taken heed to his teachings.

gary willis says:

Where can you find and look at this documentary?

Barry Manilowa says:

This looks like it will be a great documentary and I admire your efforts. Please don't take my comments as knocking down you or your film, but as an unsolicited, constructive critique that I hope you will take to heart. I want to see this film succeed and thrive.

When I visited the trailer site, I saw the same graphic design values that typically plague many black business marketing materials and corporate identity. It appears whoever did the design and production didn't understand how to use the available tools and didn't have a conceptual understanding of how to make aesthetically pleasing presentation of the product.  I 'd go out on a limb to guess that the movie director probably did the design and development of the site.

Visual design is extremely important and can make or break the success of a product or company. Consumers make strong value judgments on your products or services based on its visual representation, since it's normally all they have to go by. Most people who purchase Porsches or Ferraris cars don't buy them because of their performance, but because they are visually stunning. General Motors, for instance, after appointing a new chief of industrial design (Edward T. Welburn Jr, a black man) has seen its sales skyrocket.

Whites and other groups understand the importance of visually packaging products, but too many black businesses don't seem to grasp this. I can often tell a black business just from its marketing materials. Too many of them feel the money is better spent elsewhere and it doesn't help the bottom line and take a jack of all trades attitude and do the packaging themselves instead of seasoned, qualified seeking professional services.

Ironically, black people are deeply influenced by design in their purchasing decisions and that is your customer. Many will pass up a great product over another simply because of the way it looks. Many will feel your movie is of low quality simply because of its marketing materials and if asked to pay. Yet, they will spend more on a Hollywood film that they probably won't like anyway. The reason is that your site and graphical imagery look very pedestrian.

If you don't think what I am saying bears any importance, simply take a look at Uncle Funky's Daughter. I saw the company at a trade show and I was absolutely impressed. Their website is gorgeous and the product packaging is unbelievable. I was, however, a little disappointed when I discovered that the design work was done by a white hipster design firm in Brooklyn, New York. Regardless, they are very successful and are making an impact.  If they had to hand their money to the beast, they spent it wisely.

Nice commentary but you need more cutaways. I'm sure you'll include more during post production.

dan williams says:

I first heard of Dr. Claud Anderson when I listened to The Tom Pope Radio Show over 10 years ago.  The show was based in Washington, D.C.and was broadcast in several cities in the U.S.  Dr. Claud Anderson was a frequent guest, along with Dr. Rosie Milligan, Shahrazad Ali and others.   Unfortunately, the local station in my town was sold and the format changed to all gospel music.  The show was online for a while also.

LARONY24 says:

This is going to be powerful

Herr Schmidt says:

Yeah, that was informative. I bought all of Dr. Anderson's books after seeing this clip. I heard about his fish farm but had no idea his company was so far along.
On a tangent, I don't see why certain people want to see JB's face. Black people buy food, get medication, from people who's faces they never see. I ate at a restaurant last week and I have no idea what the cooks looked like…yet ate the sandwich anyway. It was delicious. My library is full of books by authors I would never recognize. I don't care what this man looks like. I just seek knowledge I can turn to action. Black people in America are sadly the most easily distracted group on the planet, without exception. We get too sidetracked by trinkets and sideshows. Truth be told, we need to be less visible  and more business focused. We have so many entertainers in sports and hollywood but absolutely nothing to show for it.

Mhendeb says:

The Mike Brown tragedy is proving what can happen when a people don't own and control nothing. More than anything, these sad example should be used to beat it into black people that you can't be the butt monkey of other races of people and expect for anything of them to care when you're done wrong. Respect doesn't work that way. Black people are too focused on people liking them, instead of respecting them. Look how white people are rasing lots of money whenever a racist commits a hate crime. A cop kills a black teen, he gets money and support. A cop rapes many black females, he gets money and support. Black people need to start studying and learning from their racial enemies.

BlackAP says:

AWESOME!!!!  JUST AWESOME!!  Can't wait for your documentary!

FoxFire45 says:

Outstanding work TBA

Pia Francis says:

We have to start from knowing how to get RESOURCES. That's how you build an economy. I'm just so happy for The 7AM documentary because I will admit I can be very lost when it comes to getting those resources and knowing how to operate one.
I know how to operate a business because I have two of my own but that's just the beginning.
I want to get my hands on produce, and housing and share that in Africa with my fellow black people. I can't wait for 7AM B1Family!

jacque strappe says:

Man, if you're a struggling entrepreneur or thinking about starting a business, if you can't get excited about this clip then you're a FUCKING FUCKWAD. You don't need to be in business, or even think about one. Looking at that setup has me PUMPED!!!

And ALL IT TAKES is for us to support each other – we can turn this thing around in less than 5 years if we are on the same page. Please hurry with 7AM, we need it – coons be damned.

BrainStormN8 says:

Claude Anderson is one of me personal inspirations. One one of the reasons I want to support TBA is because of the Powernomics Legacy. Build and help others build.

teedubb71 says:

I cannot wait for this documentary, Brother Black

Pyramidion says:

I love fish, especially tilapia and salmon and the ABILITY for black folks to learn about black empowerment and self sustainment.
