I've attended a Dr Ben Lecture more than once and was fortunate to walk,talk and eat with the elder while he lived.i remember asking him years ago" where are black people going as a race"? I remember being disappointed in his answe,his answer was very short and I felt robbed.
I thought he was about to break it all down for me,but instead he gave me a very short answer and needless to say I did not overstand him until yrs later.
When I asked him my question,I was accompanying him to purchase a plane ticket to Egypt, we were in Brooklyn and we could hear music everywhere,that's when he responded "just listen to our music" he said to me"listen to the music,whatever we are saying,that's where we are going"
