He should've asked why the individual being interviewed CHOSE to judge an entire ethnic group based on a fictitious television show that he damn well knew was a remake of a BRITISH sit-com. Several other Asians appeared on Sanford & Son as well. It was a comedy intended to make people laugh. Who would be STUPID enough to believe that it represented every black household in America? In any case, Hollywierd has a long history of creating racist images of persons of color, including Asians. Who could forget the ridiculous I. Y. Yunioshi in Breakfast at Tiffany's? I wanted to slap him, and I'm black! What about Kato (Bruce Lee), the Green Hornet's loyal sidekick who fought all of his battles because who ever heard of an Asian superhero? Fred Sanford is mild by comparison. I actually like the show. The point is Bruce Lee went on to do bigger and better things just as blacks have had greater opportunities in the film industry since the 70s.
