"womencrushingwednesday" is most likely a business/product that will be sold to women of all races, so using the terms like Black, African American, melaninated or even blackwomenwednesday might not sit well with the multicultural demographic she is trying to sell her womencrushingwednesday products to. This sort of thing happens when you try to sell products under the guise of black empowerment. I think it's better to be upfront and say this is a FOR PROFIT PRODUCT for all women because black people are shafted in so many ways by the "women/people of color thing". Black women are probably the primary target market for her product, but Hispanic, Asian, and Indian money is green (Get it) and great to go for, hence "women of color". This is most likely a consulting product for sale and not a black women empowerment sort of thing like her video and being on this channel might lead black women to believe. Selling products to the largest demographic possible is great but a bit unethical when done this way because, lots of black women will think that this is some sort of black women specific empowerment thing instead of it being a product for sale to all women, of all races with a buck in their pocketbook. People need to just be upfront about things being products for sale. Lead with the product and price, because black people are easily irritated due to oppression and appreciate honesty more than clever pitches and would rather hear I'm trying to get that Asian, Latino, Indian gwap over the "women of color" nonsense. It's strange that a woman running a sales agency in 2017, does not understand the audience she is pitching her product too. My advice would be to split this into two separate products. womencrushingwednesday & blackwomenwednesday that way she could produce the documentation once and clone it for all of the markets she is pushing it too and allow it to overlap in a controlled manner. The last thing this sister would want, is to end up at a womencrushingwednesday convention with woke melanated business women and entrepreneurs in a room with a bunch of Asians and Arab women talking about we are all women of color in 2018. Lol.
This is what I love about this channel. The relentless showcasing of Black Excellence. Proof to the impressionable youth that you Can actually BE Black & successful. This idea is all kinds of genuis.
I really would like for the good Dr. Boyce and all of his people to start the move away from that ridiculous word people of color as it makes no sense at all every single sentient being on this planet has a color your cats have multiple colors as well as your dogs, birds etc.. including caucasians they do have a particular hue that is more pink in tone is that not also a color as well Melanated seems a bit more appropriate for the time being at least
